Road Trip Itinerary

April 24.

The excitement is building…our “honeymoon road trip” is only two days away! We’re highly anticipating the trip! Not only are we excited for the adventure, but we’ve also been planning the details slowly over the past year and a half. It almost feels like Christmas. Except if Christmas was a month long!

We are flying from New York to Nevada (where we start driving) on April 26 and will be on the road for over 3 weeks, with a pretty jam-packed schedule. Along the trip, we will be posting a more detailed look at where we visit, how we fare camping in different locations and how exhausted we are from hiking!

However, in order to keep our brains straight and give you an overview of what we’re doing, here is our overall ‘itinerary’:

Day 1:

Grand Canyon, AZ

We will be camping at Mather Campground on the South Rim, and can’t wait to see this amazing landmark!

Day 2:

Zion National Park, UT

Wow. This park is a place we are continually jumping up and down about! Since it is spring, we are also very likely to see baby animals. Hopefully the weather gets a little warmer…

Day 7:

Fort Spokane, WA

We will be driving through the state of Washington on our way to Vancouver, Canada. Since it is about a 10 hour drive, we decided to camp a night in Spokane!

Day 8:

Vancouver, Canada

Who knew we’d get to “go out of the country” on this honeymoon? We are planning to rent bikes to see this cool city, and walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge!

Day 9-13:

Seattle, WA

Mount Rainier

Conveniently, Griffin (Gabriella’s brother) just moved to Seattle in the fall, and is one of the few parts of the country Taylor has never visited. We can’t wait to have a few days to really explore the “Pacific Northwest”! Melodie and Rex (Gabriella’s mom and step-dad), and Ryan (Gabriella’s step-brother), are also flying out for this part of the trip, as they haven’t seen where Griffin lives either!

Day 14:

Portland, OR & Eugene, OR

As we drive down the west coast, we are going to stop in the much talked about city of Portland, and end spending the night in Eugene.

Day 15:

Redwood National Forest, CA

Last summer, we were able to see giant sequoias in “Big Trees” (Calaveras State Park). Now we are looking forward to seeing the extremely tall redwoods!

On our drive across the state of California, we are visiting family in Redding!

Day 17:

Sonora, CA

Before we reach Yosemite, we are going to spend the night in Sonora, where we performed in the show, State Fair, last summer!

Day 18-20:

Yosemite National Park, CA

Our final destination is the park we visited last year and couldn’t get out of our heads! We both think it’s one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen, and are excited to spend more time exploring.

Let us know if there are any hidden or unique places we should check out! We are counting down the days!
